Fourth win for Overture and first for Charmaine
24 September 2024
The excellent form of Elite Racing Club's Flat runners this summer has continued in the past week, with the wins of Overture and Charmaine.
The Sir Mark Prescott-trained Overture recorded a fourth straight win when successful at Yarmouth on Wednesday 18 September, defying a rising handicap mark. The homebred three-year-old daughter of New Approach has been declared for Pontefract this Thursday and beyond that, Sir Mark and the team at Heath House hope Overture (now rated 88) can progress into Listed races and possibly higher in 2025.
Charmaine is another Elite Racing Club homebred filly and the three-year-old daughter of Camelot improved on her previous form when winning easily at Kempton's meeting on Friday 20 September. From the family of current Club star Tiffany, the James Fanshawe-trained Charmaine can hopefully make her mark in handicaps in due course and looks one to follow at four years next season.
Well done to the teams at Heath House and Pegasus Stables and all Club members.
