Sir Mark Prescott raises Tiffany's sights
26 June 2024
On the back of her impressive winning seasonal debut at Baden-Baden last month, Sir Mark Prescott has declared Elite Racing Club's homebred filly Tiffany for this Friday's Group 3 Hoppings Fillies' Stakes, on the first day of Newcastle's Northumberland Plate meeting.
Tiffany's latest win was her second at Listed level and fifth overall in eight career starts, confirming the four-year-old daughter of Farhh's upward trajectory. Now rated 109, she's the highest-rated of her dam Affinity's six progeny to race to date, five of whom have won at least one race.
One of the established broodmares in the Club's award-winning breeding programme, Affinity is a Sadler's Wells half-sister to the Club's five-time Group 1-winning miler, Soviet Song, and was a winner herself at three when trained by the late Sir Henry Cecil.
In the hope that Tiffany continues to progress further into the season, Sir Mark has made early entries for her in the Group 1 Nassau Stakes at Glorious Goodwood (1 August) and the Group 1 Yorkshire Oaks at York's Ebor meeting (22 August).
